The establishment of the ‘K-Tendering’ portal coincides with the Petroleum Corporation’s merger of many subsidiaries, reducing their number from eight to just four.
MEED Magazine reported that Kuwait Oil Company has shared contract details with contractors, planning to tender eleven contracts for exploration, prospecting, and production through Kuwait Petroleum Corporation’s new tender portal.
The corporation recently launched its tender portal to simplify the process of issuing tenders and submitting bids for projects. The portal was named the “K-Tendering Portal” and is referred to as “K-Tender” by contractors.
This portal centralizes some of the information that was previously published by companies affiliated with the Petroleum Corporation.
The projects planned by Kuwait Oil Company include:
- Specialized/supportive manpower for the gas field development group.
- Production facility maintenance services for eastern Kuwait regions.
- Installation of Water Injection Station – IV (WIP-IV) in eastern Kuwait.
- Increasing wastewater capacity in collection centers 27 and 28.
- Master agreement for enhanced hydrocarbon recovery.
- Renewal of collection centers No. 15, 23, and 25 in northern Kuwait.
- Long-term testing facility in Sabriya field.
- Increasing wastewater capacity in collection centers 27 and 28.
- New facility for gas desalination and sulfur extraction in western Kuwait.
- Expansion of EWDPS I&II facilities for the injection maintenance project.
- New Burgan water injection system in south and east Kuwait.
It is worth noting that the establishment of the ‘K-Tendering’ portal coincides with the Petroleum Corporation’s merger of many subsidiaries, reducing their number from eight to just four.
MEED concluded by stating that in the future, the Petroleum Corporation is expected to use both the ‘K-Tendering’ portal and the Central Agency for Public Tenders for submitting project bids. Currently, the agency does not have any committee members, as the Petroleum Corporation exclusively uses its ‘K-Tendering’ portal to invite tenders for its projects.
