Kuwait Oil Company launches bids for 7 major tenders worth KD 2 billion
The tenders form part of company’s plan to expand oil field development, aiming to raise oil output capacity to four million barrels per day by 2035 and gas production to 1.5 trillion cubic feet per day by 2040.

The Central Agency for Public Tenders has opened bids for seven major tenders, mainly for the Kuwait Oil Company, with a combined value of KD 2 billion, reported Al Qabas newspaper.
The tenders include the development of Gathering Centre 1 (SGC-1) and Water Injection Plant 1 (WIP-1), as well as a separate project for Gathering Centre 3 (SGC-3) and Water Injection Plant 3 (WIP-3).
Informed sources said these tenders highlight the growing momentum in Kuwait’s oil sector and the government’s ongoing investments to enhance operational efficiency and boost production and export capacity, in line with Kuwait’s Oil Strategy 2040.
Field development

Sources confirmed that the company is committed to launching and executing all projects within its development strategy, establishing frameworks to maximize the country’s oil and gas reserves. These projects also reflect KOC’s integrated strategy to expand capacity, improve infrastructure efficiency, and enhance environmental and operational performance across Kuwait’s oil-producing regions.
Notable companies who attended pre-bid meetings included Petrofac (UK), Saipem (Italy), Tecnicas Reunidas (Spain), Larsen & Toubro (India), Samsung, Hyundai, and Daewoo (South Korea).
