The tender for supplying pipes is the largest ever for the Kuwait Oil Company and aims to support its activities and operations in drilling and completing oil and gas wells.
Oil sources informed Al-Anbaa newspaper that the Kuwait Oil Company has decided to award five contracts for the supply of drilling pipes and casing for deep drilling, with a total value estimated at approximately KD 187 million.
The sources stated that the Kuwait Oil Company decided to award the first contract at a value of KD 21.45 million, the second contract at KD 79.44 million, the third contract at KD 30.1 million, the fourth contract at KD 32.75 million, and the fifth contract at KD 23.2 million. They indicated that supply operations will begin during the coming period.
Sources indicated that the contracts will be with multiple local companies to supply and manufacture deep drilling pipes for the northern Kuwait region and the Jurassic conventional gas fields. They noted that the company’s signing of these contracts aligns with its strategic plan to drill deep wells in the northern region, reaching depths of 15,000 to 20,000 feet.
Sources said that five local companies, specialized in supplying and manufacturing all types of pipes used in deep drilling, have been contracted.
