Kuwait Navy announces live-fire drills on June 23-24
Sea users, including fishermen and commercial vessels, urged to avoid the designated training area

The Kuwait Navy will conduct live-fire exercises on June 23 and 24, between 5:00 am and 8:30 pm, as part of its routine training program to enhance operational readiness and maritime combat capability, according to a statement issued by the defense sources.
According to the announcement, the training area is located 16.5 nautical miles east of Ras Al-Julaiah, to Qaru Island, and 6 nautical miles east of Ras Al-Zour, to Umm Al-Maradim Island
Authorities urged sea users, including fishermen and commercial vessels, to avoid the designated training area during the exercise period for safety reasons.
Such exercises are part of Kuwait’s regular military preparedness program and are conducted periodically in coordination with broader defense training schedules.
