  • “The National Council for Culture” stated that the Gardenia exhibition honors a wide range of creative and cultural endeavors and provides a platform for fostering creativity and innovation.

  • Gardenia features performances of music and folklore, a segment dedicated to agricultural products, a showcase of the most significant art collections, and outdoor garden sessions.

The Kuwait National Museum’s “Gardenia” exhibition will open on February 10th, according to the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature, which also noted that the event would feature a wide range of artistic and cultural events.

In a press release on Thursday, Mohammed bin Redha, Assistant Secretary General of the Council’s Antiquities and Museums Sector, stated that the event is being held in collaboration with the National Council for Culture, a government partner, as part of the Council’s plan to fortify its relationship with the private sector in order to promote and advance Kuwait’s artistic and cultural landscape.

According to Bin Redha, the exhibition, which runs through the end of February, is the biggest of its kind in Kuwait. It features musical and folkloric performances in collaboration with the arts sector, as well as a presentation of the most significant artistic holdings, such as the National Council for Culture’s plastic paintings. It also features outdoor garden sessions and a department selling agricultural supplies.

Bin Redha emphasized that the exhibition is a chance to foster innovation and creativity in Kuwait while tying cultural elements to nature and the arts. He cited the holding of specialized workshops and seminars on the exhibition’s sidelines that cover the areas of urban planning and lighting design for gardens, offering a forum for education and interaction with professionals in these fields.

The exhibition of archaeological finds, which includes the most significant artifacts found in Kuwait and reflects the country’s ancient history and its civilizational role throughout the ages, is one of the unique exhibitions that the Kuwait National Museum will host on the sidelines of the Gardenia exhibition, according to Bin Redha.

Bin Redha pointed out that the museum will also host a folk heritage exhibition that will give visitors a chance to learn about the ancestors’ culture by showcasing elements of traditional Kuwaiti life, including clothing, handicrafts, everyday tools, and folk councils.

Importantly, Bin Redha stated that the planetarium provided intriguing documentary and scientific shows appropriate for visitors of all ages. These performances aim to teach the public about astronomy and nature in an entertaining and educational format, making the exhibition a great destination for people interested in culture and science.
