Youssef Al-Faji, Head of Central Operations at the Kuwait Municipality, said ongoing inspections target unlicensed vehicles, with expanded efforts to reduce their presence on roads in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior.
• Engineer Manal Al-Asfour, the Director General of the Kuwait Municipality, said “the campaign targets mobile vehicles that violate existing laws and regulations, while those who comply with the requirements and designated sites will not face any violations or penalties.”
Engineer Manal Al-Asfour, the Director General of the Kuwait Municipality, confirmed that the municipality is collaborating with other government agencies to enhance field control over violating mobile vehicles, as reported by Al Rai newspaper.
Al-Asfour stated that “the campaign targets mobile vehicles that violate existing laws and regulations, while those who comply with the requirements and designated sites will not face any violations or penalties.”
She emphasized that “the campaigns aim to organize operations and eliminate disorder, as some of these vehicles either do not adhere to designated sites or lack approval from the municipality to allocate a site.”
Meanwhile, Youssef Al-Faji, the Head of Central Operations at the municipality, told Al-Rai that “inspection campaigns are ongoing and will continue,” noting that “the current plan targets unlicensed vehicles. Through cooperation with the Traffic Sector of the Ministry of Interior, the efforts are being expanded to reduce the random presence of these vehicles on roads and highways.”
Al-Faji added that “these vehicles are strictly prohibited from stopping along roads and highways leading to spring camps, chalets, farms, or jehers, and any vehicle that violates the law will be dealt with accordingly.”
He pointed out that “the percentage of those complying with the law and regulations is higher than that of violators. As a result, any unlicensed vehicle will be impounded, and the owner will be responsible for paying a fine to release it.”
