Kuwait Municipality demolishes 67 unsafe buildings in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh

Kuwait Municipality has completed the demolition of 67 dilapidated properties in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh after the expiry of the grace period granted to the owners of these properties to vacate.
The municipality explained that, following the issuance of an administrative decision published in the official gazette Kuwait Alyawm, owners were given two weeks to clear and demolish their properties.

Once the deadline passed, demolition proceeded under the direct field supervision of the Director-General of Kuwait Municipality, Engineer Manal Al-Asfour, reports Al-Rai daily.
Officials stated that the action was taken due to the hazardous condition of the buildings, many of which were at the risk of imminent collapse, posing danger to lives and public safety.

The municipality affirmed that the removal of more unsafe structures in the area will continue according to the established schedule and in coordination with the relevant authorities.
