The Ministry of Health hosted an international conference on immunodermatology, skin surgeries, and laser treatments, under the patronage of Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi. The event featured the participation of numerous doctors and consultants from around the world, according to Al Rai newspaper.
Dr. Fatima Al-Najjar, Assistant Undersecretary for Civil Medical Services Affairs, delivered a speech on behalf of minister Al-Awadhi at the opening of the conference, stating that holding such scientific forums is a result of the ministry’s strategic policies aimed at advancing local medical services to match international standards.
Al-Najjar added that these forums provide valuable opportunities for interaction with leading international doctors in the field, highlighting the ministry’s commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest developments in diagnosing and treating skin diseases, while focusing on human resource development and improving the skills of medical and technical personnel, as well as preparing specialized cadres for this field.
In turn, Dr. Atlal Allafi, President of the Council of Dermatology Departments and President of the conference, noted that the event features the participation of renowned international doctors, with a focus on reviewing the latest treatments and advanced diagnostic methods in dermatology.”
Allafi pointed out that the conference aims to produce recommendations that will contribute to improving the medical staff and the quality of services provided, while fostering effective communication between doctors in Kuwait and their international counterparts. The event also involves newly graduated doctors and Kuwaiti board-certified doctors in the preparation and delivery of scientific lectures.
She emphasized the importance of showcasing the level of the Kuwaiti Board at this conference, noting that its standard is comparable to the international boards in Canada, the United States, and neighboring countries.
It is worth mentioning that the conference featured lectures, panel discussions, various workshops, scientific meetings, and presentations of pathological cases provided by Kuwaiti Board doctors.
