Kuwait Intercepts Ballistic Missile, Five Cruise Missiles and 33 Drones
Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense announced that the country’s Armed Forces successfully intercepted one ballistic missile, five cruise missiles, and 33 hostile drones during an Iranian attack that began earlier this evening.
In a statement, the Ministry’s official spokesperson, Major General Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, said the threats were detected and neutralized as part of Kuwait’s ongoing air defense operations.
According to the ministry, the attack targeted several vital and civilian facilities across the country. Falling missile and drone debris caused material damage in multiple locations, though no civilian casualties were reported.
The ministry also confirmed that a Kuwaiti Naval Force vessel was struck during the attack, injuring four Armed Forces personnel. The injured service members received medical treatment, and their condition has been reported as stable.
The Armed Forces said they remain fully operational and continue to carry out their duties with a high level of readiness, emphasizing their commitment to safeguarding the nation’s security and protecting citizens and residents.
