Kuwait Forecasts Continued Rain and Thunderstorms Until Wednesday

Kuwait’s Meteorology Department has forecast continued chances of rainfall across the country through Wednesday morning, with conditions at times turning thundery and accompanied by active winds stirring dust.

Acting Director of the Meteorology Department, Dirar Al-Ali, said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather maps indicate ongoing rainfall affecting the country, with low- and medium-level clouds increasing and interspersed with cumulonimbus formations bringing scattered showers that may turn thundery at times.

Al-Ali added that winds are expected to pick up intermittently, causing blowing dust and occasionally reducing horizontal visibility in some areas, while also leading to higher sea waves.

He noted that rainfall intensity is likely to peak on Monday and Tuesday, before gradually tapering off by Wednesday morning.
