329 expatriates deported last Sunday

The Ministry of Interior, last Sunday, deported 173 female and 156 male expatriates of various nationalities, some of them for staying in the country and others for their involvement in illegal activities.

The source explained those who were arrested for violating the Residency Law were taken to the Deportation Department, while others who were caught for possessing drugs or alcohol were referred to the Directorate-General for Drugs Control, reports Al-Anba daily.

Moreover, the security sources state the sponsors of all those arrested were contacted to arrange the flight tickets for those under their sponsorship.

If the sponsors fail to provide a ticket, the Ministry of Interior proceeds with the deportation and blocks the sponsor’s file until the ticket costs are covered.
