Kuwait consumed 2.8 thousand tons of fish in 2023

According to recently compiled statistics from the Central Administration of Statistics, Kuwait’s consumption of locally sourced fish in 2023 reached approximately 2.8 thousand tons, with a total estimated value of around 6.7 million dinars.

These statistics encompassed approximately 25 varieties of fish. Among them, shrimp constituted a significant portion, with approximately one million kilograms sold during the year 2023. Additionally, the consumption of Zubaidi fish totaled around 79 thousand kilograms over the same period, reports Al-Qabas daily.
