Kuwait Celebrates Eid Al-Adha with Traditional Sacrifice Rituals

In a scene of faith embodying the values of mercy and solidarity, and reflecting generosity, Kuwaiti philanthropists and residents began performing animal sacrifice on Wednesday – the first day of Eid Al-Adha (Day of Sacrifice) holiday.

The ritual reflects devotion to Allah, the Almighty, and closeness to Him; it helps alleviate the burdens on the poor.

This is the first of the three “Tashreeq” days, during which Muslim philanthropists, including the Kuwaitis, flock to the central slaughterhouses.

The well-equipped have been prepared to receive them with a comprehensive system of facilities and services, strictly adhering to public health requirements to ensure the organized performance of the sacrifice ritual.

The person offering the sacrifice takes great care to select their animal, ensuring it meets all religious requirements regarding age, health, and freedom from defects. This is done to glorify Allah, the Almighty’s rituals and draw closer to Him through this blessed tradition.
