. . . urges regional integration for trade, energy and logistics development

Minister of State for Development and Sustainability Dr. Reem Al-Fulaij has emphasized the importance of strengthening political dialogue and building mutual trust between countries as key pillars for advancing economic cooperation and achieving sustainable development.

Speaking during her participation in the plenary session of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), held as part of the second Termez Dialogue on connectivity between Central and South Asia via video conference, Al-Fulaij highlighted the importance of regional integration.

She stressed the need to expand partnerships in trade, transport, logistics, and energy sectors to enhance regional stability and promote shared prosperity.

Al-Fulaij also noted that Kuwait places strong emphasis on investing in smart infrastructure, strengthening food and water security, improving supply chains, and supporting the transition toward a green economy, local Arabic daily reports.

She said sustainability should be viewed as a comprehensive approach that balances economic growth with the preservation of natural resources and the promotion of human well-being.

The minister further called for continued dialogue, exchange of expertise, and stronger strategic partnerships among regional countries to address shared challenges and support sustainable development goals.
