Kuwait braces for strong winds, dust storms until midnight
The Meteorological Department announced today (Monday) that the country will experience a state of atmospheric instability within the coming hours, starting from 6:00 p.m. until midnight.
In its weather advisory, the department said southeasterly to southerly winds are expected to strengthen, reaching speeds of more than 60 km/h, reports Al-Jarida daily.
This will lead to blowing dust and a significant reduction in horizontal visibility, particularly in open and desert areas.
It also warned of rough sea conditions, with wave heights expected to exceed 7 feet, along with a chance of scattered thunderstorms during the period of instability.
