Kuwait border posts targeted in drone attack from Iraq

. . . no casualties reported

The Kuwait Ministry of Defense announced that two northern border outposts came under attack on Thursday by booby-trapped drones launched from Iraq, resulting in material damage but no human casualties.

Official spokesman Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan said the attack involved two drones guided by fiber-optic wires, describing the incident as a “heinous and aggressive act” targeting Kuwait’s land border positions.

He confirmed that the strikes caused damage to facilities at the sites, while all personnel remained safe.

The ministry stated that relevant authorities immediately initiated necessary measures to assess the situation and respond to the incident.

Officials emphasized that investigations and security procedures are ongoing, as Kuwait continues to monitor developments and ensure the protection of its borders.
