Kuwait Army Chief of Staff visits wounded Navy personnel wounded

Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraiaan, on Tuesday visited the wounded Kuwaiti naval personnel hospitalized following the recent hostile Iranian aggression to assess their health and oversee their medical treatment.

During the visit, Lieutenant General Al-Shuraiaan was briefed by the attending medical team on the clinical status of the injured service members, according to a General Staff press release.

He commended the medical staff for their dedicated efforts and expressed his sincere wishes for the speedy recovery and continued well-being of the wounded personnel. The military personnel were wounded earlier when a Kuwaiti Navy vessel was targeted during a large-scale hostile aerial assault.

Ministry of Defense Spokesman Colonel Saud Al-Atwan had previously announced that the Kuwaiti Air Defense forces successfully intercepted and neutralized a ballistic missile, five cruise missiles, and 33 weaponized drones launched against the country.

While the bulk of the threat was thwarted, shrapnel fallout caused localized material damage to several vital and civilian installations, he noted.
