Kuwait Amir has transformed country into a haven of stability

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has stimulated the positive dynamic in our bilateral partnership between Georgia and Kuwait, making our cooperation more solid and fruitful, the Georgian Embassy said in a statement.

• The Georgian embassy in Kuwait noted the rising number of Kuwaiti tourists visiting Georgia. This increase is aided by direct flights from Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways to Georgian cities, including a new route to Batumi by the airline, and visa exemptions for Kuwaiti citizens and residents.

• The embassy praised Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya for Kuwait’s continued and explicit support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as building consensus on global issues and multilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Sadiq Marafi, the Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs, described the Kuwaiti-Georgian relations as good, during his participation in a ceremony organized by the Georgian embassy in the country on the occasion of its Independence Day, in the presence of a large number of heads of diplomatic missions and citizens.

For its part, the embassy confirmed in a statement that the State of Kuwait is truly Georgia’s main international partner, as we strive to advance this strengthened partnership to a qualitatively new level.

The embassy added in a statement that Georgia and Kuwait enjoy an increasingly close and multidimensional friendship and cooperation, and to this end, we extend special thanks to His Highness the Amir Sheikh MeshalAl-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, whose wisdom turned Kuwait into an island of calm in the sea of regional turmoil, and His Highness also stimulated the positive dynamic in our bilateral partnership between Georgia and Kuwait, making our cooperation more solid and fruitful.

The embassy praised Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya for Kuwait’s continued and explicit support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as building consensus on global issues and multilateral cooperation.

It indicated that the Georgian government attaches utmost importance to deepening political and economic cooperation with Kuwait, and strives to strengthen relations in the field of tourism, culture and education, stressing the intention of the Georgian government to facilitate increased investment and trade partnership with Kuwait, as Georgia was listed among the top ten countries in the world, in “Ease of doing business” out of 190 countries, which is the classification issued by the World Bank, where Georgia falls mainly between the United States and Great Britain in terms of convenience for investors to conduct their business in Georgia, while a number of important achievements have been achieved in the areas of economic cooperation.

The embassy added that given Georgia’s exceptionally business-friendly environment and the benefits of Georgia’s continued integration into the European Union single market, there are still great opportunities for Kuwaitis to invest in Georgia’s hospitality, real estate and energy sectors.

Georgia is witnessing a boom in tourism, as it is characterized by an amazingly diverse landscape that ranges from the highest mountains in Europe to the subtropical coast. And its rich cultural and culinary traditions, with more than seven million international travelers visiting Georgia last year.

The embassy pointed out that the increasing number of Kuwaiti tourists coming to Georgia, which is further facilitated by direct flights of Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways to Georgian cities, as a new destination was added to the city of Batumi by Jazeera Airways, as well as visa exemption for Kuwaiti citizens and residents of Kuwait.

The embassy invited businessmen and the Kuwaiti people in general to visit Georgia and explore the opportunities that Georgia can offer to business.

The embassy expressed her gratitude to Sadiq Marafi for honoring us with his presence. We look forward to the lasting friendship between Georgia and Kuwait, which will stimulate a new wave of enhanced cooperation in the field of trade, investment and people-to-people exchange.
