KU launches enhanced campus transportation initiative
Dr. Fayez Al-Dhafiri, the Acting Secretary General of Kuwait University, recently unveiled the official launch of “internal transportation vehicles with extended cabins” at the Sabah Al-Salem University City campus.
This initiative aims to facilitate faster and easier movement of students between colleges, eliminating obstacles and ensuring prompt arrival to lectures. Al-Dhafiri emphasized the University’s commitment to providing mass transportation for students and enhancing their overall experience, catering to the needs of its growing student population exceeding 40,000, reports Al-Jarida daily.
He also welcomed proposals from youth and emerging companies to further improve mobility and student services. Additionally, a trial period for campus scooters is underway, with plans to evaluate their effectiveness. Furthermore, the University aims to transform Sabah Al Salem University City into a smart environment, integrating smart cards for various facilities and services.
