KRCS hosts ‘Restoring Family Links’ training in cooperation with ICRC

As part of its ongoing humanitarian mission and commitment to capacity building, the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), organized a training course under the title “Restoring Family Links.”
The program brought together staff members and volunteers working in this critical area of humanitarian service, reports Al-Rai daily.
In a statement, the KRCS said the training will deepen understanding of the procedures and principles related to reconnecting families separated by conflict, disasters, or migration of the participant in training.
It also focused on equipping trainees with the necessary tools and approaches to handle cases of missing persons and family separations with professionalism and empathy.
The course highlighted the key role of the ICRC and Red Crescent Movement in this field and reaffirmed the KRCS’s dedication to upholding international humanitarian law and protecting human dignity.
This initiative reflects the society’s broader efforts to strengthen its humanitarian operations and ensure its teams are well-prepared to respond to crises, while also upholding the core humanitarian values of unity, neutrality, and impartiality.
