KM lifts abandoned vehicles, issues violations in Mubarak Al-Kabeer clean-up drive

The Public Relations Department of the Kuwait Municipality announced 19 abandoned and illegally parked vehicles were removed and 18 violations were issued for public cleanliness and road obstructions during a recent campaign in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate.
According to an official statement, the Public Cleanliness and Road Occupations Department at the Mubarak Al-Kabeer branch conducted intensive inspection tours across residential areas.
The campaign aimed to improve the visual appeal of neighborhoods, remove road obstructions, prevent waste dumping outside designated containers, and clean main roads, internal streets, and beaches, reports Al-Jarida daily.
As part of the effort, 60 warning stickers were placed on abandoned vehicles and unauthorized commercial containers. Additionally, 14 old waste containers were replaced with new ones to enhance service efficiency.
The Municipality emphasized that inspection teams will continue their field operations across all governorates to monitor and eliminate violations of public hygiene and road usage regulations. The campaign is part of the Municipality’s broader effort to activate regulatory oversight and enforce municipal laws.
Officials reiterated their commitment to maintaining the cleanliness of cities and suburbs, stressing that legal action will be taken against anyone who violates public cleanliness or road occupation laws.
