H.E. Ambassador of Japan Morino Yasunari conveyed heartfelt gratitude to Rabah Al-Rabah, Director General of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), for hosting the seminar.
Ambassador Morino particularly commended . Al-Rabah for his exceptional efforts in facilitating connections between visiting Japanese companies and interested Kuwaiti counterparts, all amidst the hustle and bustle of the pre-Holy Month of Ramadan period.
The Ambassador also extended special thanks to Omote Takashi, Executive Director, and his team from the Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME), for bringing this event to fruition. He also expressed gratitude to the Japanese companies that participated in this significant seminar.
“I wish to convey my gratitude to all participants from both the Kuwaiti public and private sectors for their interest in collaborating with Japanese companies. I extend my special thanks to the representatives from the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) for their impactful presentation,” he stated.
Ambassador Morino said “Today’s seminar marks the first of its kind, co-organized by KCCI and JCCME since the subsiding of the pandemic. I view it as a significant milestone event, paving the way for the upcoming meeting of the Japan-Kuwait Businessmen Committee. This meeting is poised to further bolster bilateral business relations in the near future.”
“Hopefully, the amicable interactions we’ve experienced today will evolve into a more substantive and constructive consultation phase, paving the way for the expansion of bilateral investment and trading opportunities. Japanese companies may find opportunities to expand their business in Kuwait, while Kuwaiti companies may be interested in investing in the development of products tailored for Kuwaiti consumers,” added Ambassador Morino
“The harmonization of the business environment is essential for advancing international economic relations, which in turn contribute to the continued prosperity of the world,” he emphasized. “Japan will chair the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) Ministerial Council Meeting scheduled for June 2024 in Paris.”
“Japan is interested in reaching out to non-member countries, as it believes that fostering deeper mutual understanding between OECD members and non-members can contribute to international economic relations and promote sustainable, inclusive growth,” stated the ambassador. “We stand ready to engage with the Kuwaiti government, an active participant and contributor to OECD activities.”
“Lastly, and of utmost importance, on behalf of my government, I extend our sincere congratulations to H.H. Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, H.H. Sheikh Doctor Muhammad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, and the people of Kuwait on the 63rd anniversary of its independence and the 33rd anniversary of its liberation.
