KCC Falcons Champions Trophy T20 concludes, Lexus crowned champions
The KCC Falcons Champions Trophy T20 – 4th Edition, powered by Al Muzaini Exchange, concluded on a high note in Kuwait, marking the end of a competitive tournament that showcased strong team performances and standout individual displays across all fixtures. The event once again underlined the continued growth of domestic cricket in the country.
In the main final, Lexus delivered a commanding performance to defeat Thunder Cats by 44 runs and lift the championship trophy. Maintaining an unbeaten run throughout the tournament, Lexus capped their campaign with a disciplined all-round display, with M. Usman playing a key role. He contributed a quickfire 31 off 18 balls and followed it up with impressive bowling figures of 2/23, earning him the Player of the Final award.
In the Plate Championship final, Keraniganj Challengers secured the title with a 19-run victory over MEC Study Group. Sabbir Hussain was the standout performer, producing a crucial unbeaten 34 off 32 deliveries along with a decisive spell of 3/20, which earned him the Player of the Plate Final accolade.
The tournament also recognized exceptional individual performances. MD Faysal Hossain of Keraniganj Challengers was named Best Batsman for scoring 314 runs, while Subash Sreejith of Phoenix Cricketers claimed Best Bowler honors with 13 wickets.
The Best All-Rounder award went to Amjad Hussain Bhat of Kashmir XI, who scored 180 runs and took nine wickets. The closing ceremony was attended by senior officials of Kuwait Cricket Club, who presented trophies and individual awards to the winners.
The organizers extended their appreciation to all sponsors and partners whose support contributed to the successful staging of the tournament, along with match officials, volunteers and broadcast partners.
KCC reiterated its commitment to strengthening domestic cricket through structured competitions that provide players with opportunities to develop and perform at a competitive level, as the fourth edition of the Falcons Champions Trophy T20 came to a successful close.
