“Kaho Na Pyaar Hai” with Babul Supriyo & Hargun Kaur

ICS presents “Kaho Na Pyaar Hai” with playback singer, live performer and actor BABUL SUPRIYO accompanied by Hargun Kaur (Singer, Lyricist & Composer). This Live in Concert On Friday 17th May 2024, at INNOVA International English School Auditorium near Alia Int. Hospital Block 1 Street 20 Mahboula Kuwait at 6.30 pm.

Babul Supriyo also is a television host, footballer and a politician who currently serves as Cabinet Minister of Information Technology and Electronics of the Government of West Bengal. He served as the Union minister of State, Ministry of Urban Development and Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation till July 2016. He was given his first break by Kalyanji, after which he toured countries like USA and Canada for live shows along with Asha Bhosle & Amitabh Bachchan. He got the chance to record cover versions of renowned Kishore Kumar songs for T-Series and marked his entry into the music industry.

Babul Supriyo has also acted in a handful of Bengali films and various Hindi potboilers. He was casted as the lead actor in the film “Chander Bari” by a much known director, Tarun Majundar & also portrayed a negative character in Sandip Ray’s film, “Hitlist”. The singer also dabbled in acting films like Mr Joe B. Carvalho. Over the years of his work, he has collaborations with a multitude of music directors and artists including Shreya Ghoshal, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sadhna Sargam, Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu, & Sunidhi Chauhan, resulting in memorable melodies that are resonated with audiences till date.

The blockbuster Bollywood movie “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai” in which his song “Dil Ne Dil Ko Pukara” was a huge hit. His hit list of songs are very big amongst Erica Fernandes & Parth Samthaan in Kasautii Zindagii Kay. This serial had completed 408 episodes. His other songs are Akshaye Khanna, Paresh Rawal & Rimi Sen in Hungama, Jeena Sirf Merre Liye, Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke, Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai, Himmatvar, Hum Tum, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Vaada, Sasurbari Zindabad, Fanaa , Hello Brother, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, etc.

Babul Supriyo’s journey from the world of melody to the realm of politics is a testament to his dynamism and multifaceted abilities. His playback singing career flourished as he lent his voice to numerous Bollywood Movies, churning out hits after hits with songs like Dil Ne Dil Ko Pukara and Hum Tum, Baraste Paani Ka Maza, O Piya O Piya, Kitni Chahat Chhupaye Baitha Hoon, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, etc. Babul Supriyo is the voice behind many chart topping songs and graced numerous stage shows, and will be performing live in Kuwait on the stage of Indian Cultural Society.

Kaho Na Pyaar Hai will be more fascinating while a singer, lyricist, and composer joins us, HARGUN KAUR from Amritsar Punjab. She is an amalgamation of classical and contemporary styles of music, a combination of ethnicity and modernity. She has her own unique texture of voice suited for Sufi, folk, western and contemporary styles. She sings devotional music and ghazals very fondly. Her command over harmonium makes her singing more impressive. She has been gifted a mellifluous voice which Hargun has laudably polished with her hard work and endurance. Hargun has completed her M.Phil. in music from the University of Mumbai & cleared Grade 6 of Western Vocals with merit form Trinity College London.


Recipient of State Award -2022 for excellence in the field of music by Govt. of Punjab, Brand ambassador for Beti Bachaao, Beti Parhaao campaign (30th July, 2022), Brand ambassador for Garv – A salute to the uniformed forces. (11th September, 2022). Performed at the Red Sea International Film Festival 2022 along with Mr. A.R. Rahman held at Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). Some out of her many albums include: Tuzya Pirticha Zahar, Dharla Majha Haat, Gagan Mein Thaal, Satnam Sri Waheguru, Ki Dum Da Bharosa Yaar, Sufi Mashup, Mahiya, Naina De Boohe, Koi Bole Ram Ram, Ishq Haay Majha, etc.

Hargun Kaur has sung in various languages like Hindi, Punjabi, English, Marathi, Gujarati and Telugu. Astonishingly, Hargun has performed in more than 700 shows across the country. Both the singers with magical voices have made millions of people become passionate with their music.
