College transfer, major change plan approved for 2024/2025 academic year
Study leave students wishing to transfer or change their specialization must bring an approval letter from the Civil Service Commission, and government scholarship students must bring approval letters from their embassies.
Dr. Fawzi Al-Dokhi, the Acting Dean of Admissions and Registration at the General Authority for Applied Education and Training, announced that the Supreme Admissions Committee, chaired by Dr. Hassan Al-Fajjam, the Director General of the Authority, met on May 1.
During this meeting, they approved the plan for transferring between colleges and changing specializations within colleges for the academic year 2024/2025. Applications for these changes will be open from May 7-16.
Al-Dokhi said that the plan took into account opening the door to transfer and changing specialization for all groups without exception and in all colleges according to specific requirements, in order to give all college students the opportunity to choose the specializations that suit them.
He stated that each student can choose a maximum of three majors to transfer or change their major, and students can also apply to transfer and change their major at the same time.
He further said that study leave students wishing to transfer or change their specialization must bring an approval letter from the Civil Service Commission, and government scholarship students must bring approval letters from their embassies.
Al-Dokhi stressed the need for all students wishing to transfer or change their major to log into their accounts within the specified period for submitting applications.
