Kadai Paneer Puff

A crispy, flaky puff pastry stuffed with a delicious kadai-style paneer filling made with colourful capsicum, tomatoes, aromatic spices, and fresh paneer. Perfect for tea-time, lunch boxes, or party snacks, this easy recipe brings bakery-style goodness to your home kitchen.

Servings: 8 puffs
Ingredients
For the Filling:
- 1 pack ready-made puff pastry
- 250 g paneer, crumbled
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- ½ capsicum, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp kadai masala
- ½ tsp red chilli powder
- ¼ tsp turmeric
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander
- Milk for brushing
Method:
- Heat oil and Add ginger-garlic paste , onion saute until soft.
- Add capsicum and tomato. Cook until the tomato softens.
- Mix in garam masala, red chilli powder, turmeric, and salt.
- Add paneer and coriander.
- Mix well and let the filling cool.
- Cut the puff pastry into squares. -Place a spoonful of filling in the centre, fold, and seal the edges.
- Brush with milk and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve hot with mint chutney or tomato ketchup or spicy mayonnaise for a delicious snack.
👨🍳Chef’s Tip:
For extra flavour, add a little grated mozzarella or processed cheese to the filling before sealing the puffs.
