Preparation & Cooking Time
- Preparation: 10 minutes
- Cooking: 12–15 minutes
- Shaping & finishing: 15 minutes
- Total:40 minutes
- Yield: 18–20 rolls
Ingredients:
For the Strawberry Mawa:
-
- Full fat milk powder – 200 g
- Milk – 100 ml
- Fresh cream – 50 ml
- Powdered sugar – 60 g
- Unsalted butter – 25 g
- Strawberry crush – 50 g
- Strawberry essence – ½ tsp
- Pink food colour – a tiny drop( optional)
- White chocolate – 50 g, for drizzle
- Pistachio& rose petals – for garnish

Method:
- In a non stick pan, combine milk, cream and milk powder. Mix thoroughly until smooth and lump free.
- Add butter and powdered sugar and cook on low to medium-low heat, stirring continuously.
- When the mixture thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan, add the strawberry crush.
- Continue cooking until the mixture becomes a soft, smooth mawa-like dough.
- Do not overcook, as the rolls can become dry.
- Switch off the heat.
- Add strawberry essence, cardamom powder and a tiny amount of pink colour, if desired.
- Transfer to a greased plate and allow it to cool until comfortable to handle.
- Grease your hands lightly with ghee and divide the mixture into equal portions.
- Roll each portion into a smooth small cylindrical roll.
- Melt the white chocolate and drizzle it lightly over the rolls.
- Garnish with a few pistachio or almond slivers and allow the drizzle to set.
Tips:
- Use full fat milk powder for the richest mawa texture.
- Add strawberry crush only after the mixture has thickened; this helps prevent excess moisture.
- Cook on low heat to keep the rolls soft and creamy.
- If the mixture feels too soft, cook for another 1–2 minutes .
- Use a delicate white chocolate drizzle rather than coating them completely.
