‘Justice Ministry’ prohibits citizens’ debt and surety declarations for non-Kuwaitis

The Ministry of Justice has issued a circular to all notaries in the real estate registration and documentation sector, prohibiting the issuance of “declarations of debt, guarantee, or surety on citizens” in favor of any non-Kuwaiti individual.

The circular, a copy of which was obtained by Al-Qabas, stipulates the requirement for its implementation and adherence to its provisions, effective from January 12, 2025.
