Jazeera Airways announces the relaunch of direct flights between Kuwait and Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, from December 3, 2026, restoring direct connectivity to one of the airline’s popular destinations.
Flights will initially operate twice weekly, increasing to three times a week from 22 December 2026, providing customers with greater choice and convenient direct access to Armenia during the peak winter travel period.
His Excellency Arsen A. Arakelyan, Ambassador of Armenia to Kuwait said, “Armenia welcomes the Jazeera Airways decision to re-launch its direct flights connecting two friendly countries Kuwait and Armenia. We are confident that these flights will contribute heavily to the furthering of mutually beneficial cooperation and increase the tourist flow from both destination”.

Yerevan has been a popular destination on the Jazeera Airways network, recording strong demand during the airline’s previous operations. The relaunch reflects this continued customer interest and Jazeera Airways’ commitment to strengthening direct point-to-point connectivity from Kuwait to destinations with strong leisure, visiting friends and relatives, and business travel potential.
Barathan Pasupathi, Chief Executive Officer, Jazeera Airways, said, “We are very pleased to welcome Yerevan back to the Jazeera Airways network. Armenia has proven to be a popular destination with our customers, and the strong demand we have seen for this route gives us confidence in its return.
“By restoring direct flights between Kuwait and Yerevan, we are rebuilding an important point-to-point connection that will support tourism, trade and closer ties between our two countries. We look forward to working closely with our partners across Kuwait and Armenia, including the travel trade, governments, airports and tourism stakeholders, to build demand and make the relaunch of this route a long-term success,” Barathan added.

With its blend of historic landmarks, vibrant city life and easy access to Armenia’s mountain landscapes and winter attractions, just over two hours from Kuwait, Yerevan offers an appealing getaway for travellers looking for a distinctive short-haul destination.
Barathan went on to say “Looking ahead, the resumption of transfer connectivity through Kuwait will further strengthen the viability of markets such as Yerevan and across our wider network, by giving customers access to convenient onward connections through Kuwait. This will enable us to attract more traffic through Kuwait, support the development of new and existing routes, and contribute positively to Kuwait’s ambition to strengthen its position as a regional air hub.”
The restored service will further support tourism, travel and trade between Kuwait and Armenia, while strengthening people-to-people connections between the two countries. It also provides travellers from Kuwait and the wider region with convenient access to Armenia’s rich history, culture, cuisine and growing year-round tourism offering.
