Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital ‘distinguished plastic surgery center’
The Ministry of Health has announced a significant achievement, with Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital being recognized internationally as a distinguished center in plastic surgery by the Surgical Review Corporation, an organization specializing in patient safety and healthcare excellence.
This recognition reflects the hospital’s commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and patient care in the field of plastic surgery, reaffirming its position as a leader in the region, reports Al-Jarida daily.
In a separate initiative, the Healthy Cities Office, under the auspices of Dr. Fatima Al-Najjar, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Public Medical Services Affairs, organized a workshop to present the national strategy for healthy cities.
During the workshop, Dr. Al-Najjar emphasized the importance of developing the strategy and implementing protocols to support the Healthy Cities Initiative. This includes expanding the registration and accreditation of Kuwaiti cities as healthy cities, building on the success of the 19 registered healthy cities and 7 approved ones, along with one accredited city, Sabah Al-Salem, as a healthy university city.
Dr. Amal Al-Yahya, the head of the Healthy Cities Office, highlighted the extensive collaborative effort involved in formulating and reviewing the national strategy for healthy cities. The workshop aimed to introduce the strategy to 25 government sectors, fostering sectoral integration and partnerships to achieve common goals and benefit all stakeholders.
Overall, these initiatives underscore Kuwait’s commitment to enhancing healthcare standards and promoting healthy living environments for its citizens.
