Iraq thanks Kuwait for facilitating return of stranded pilgrims

The Iraqi Ministry of Interior expressed deep gratitude to its Kuwaiti counterpart for the fraternal and humanitarian gesture taken on Saturday, under the directives of Kuwait’s political leadership, to assist stranded Iraqi travelers and pilgrims.

The gesture included facilitating their entry through Kuwait International Airport and securing their land return to Iraq following the imposition of a no-fly zone due to recent regional developments, news agencies reports.

In its statement, the ministry highlighted the strength of the bilateral relationship between Iraq and Kuwait, emphasizing the bonds of good neighborliness and the deep-rooted ties the two countries share within the Arab and regional frameworks.
