IQOS launches BONDS by IQOS in Kuwait, expanding smoke-free technology choices for adults

IQOS, one of the leading brands of smoke-free products from Philip Morris International (PMI), has launched BONDS by IQOS in Kuwait, introducing a new-generation tobacco heating device designed to offer legal-age adult smokers, who would otherwise continue to smoke, a compact, and accessible smoke-free alternative to cigarettes.
The launch expands the range of smoke-free technology alternatives available in Kuwait as PMI continues to address the different needs and preferences of adult smokers. Recognizing that no single alternative will necessarily address every legal age adult consumer’s requirements, PMI is developing a broader portfolio across different technologies, usage experiences, tastes and price points.
BONDS by IQOS brings together decades of tobacco expertise with ROUNDHEAT Technology, which uses resistive external heating to heat specially designed ROUNDHEAT STICKS across their external surface rather than burning them. This enables the release of a nicotine-containing aerosol with no ash and no cigarette-smoke smell.

Designed as an all-in-one, lightweight aluminum device, BONDS by IQOS offers a simple, low-maintenance experience and requires no regular cleaning. Compared with the previous generation, the device has a larger 3,100 mAh battery, up from 2,800 mAh, while its full charging time has been reduced from three hours to approximately two hours. It provides up to three consecutive experiences and has approximately 30-second pre-heating time.
BONDS by IQOS is designed exclusively for use with ROUNDHEAT STICKS, called BLENDS. On a full charge, BONDS by IQOS delivers up to 28 experiences with BLENDS sticks.
Since 2008, PMI has invested over USD 16 billion, as of 31 December 2025, to develop, scientifically substantiate and commercialize innovative smoke-free products for adults who would otherwise continue to smoke, with the goal of completely ending the sale of cigarettes. As of 31 December 2025, PMI estimates that more than 43 million adults globally use its smoke-free products, including more than 35 million IQOS users.
