Interior Ministry dismisses officer and two policemen for misconduct

In a move to enforce discipline and commitment within the security establishment, Al-Rai has learned that First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, has issued two dismissal orders—one against an officer active on social media and another against two policemen found guilty of assaulting a prisoner.
A security source told Al-Rai that after monitoring the officer’s appearances in comedic clips on social media, a committee from the General Department of Control and Inspection was formed to investigate the matter. During the inquiry, the officer admitted to the authenticity of the clips.
Moreover, a report was submitted to the minister, leading to a decision to dismiss the officer for violating directives that prohibit police personnel from appearing on or participating in social media platforms without prior approval from the ministry.
