The Indonesian Embassy in Kuwait hosted an evening of authentic cuisine and traditional folk dances at the Regency Hotel on Thursday, welcoming invited guests and nationals for a vibrant cultural showcase.

The event featured a variety of folk dances from different regions of Indonesia, showcased with elaborate and colorful costumes. Tourism videos were displayed on a large screen, highlighting the diverse locales and tourist attractions of the country.

In her brief speech, H.E. Lena Maryana, the Ambassador of Indonesia to Kuwait, expressed her gratitude to everyone who attended and gave special thanks to the embassy staff for their hard work and dedication in ensuring the success of the event series.

A highlight of the evening was the presentation of traditional Indonesian cuisine, served individually to the guests. Dishes included “Gado Gado” (mixed vegetables with peanut sauce), “Soto Ayam” (chicken soup), “NasiGoreng” (fried rice topped with chicken satay, beef rendang, and fried egg), and “Es Campur” (a fruit cocktail with shaved ice, syrup, and condensed milk).

Traditional scents, textiles, and accessories were displayed in the hotel foyer, including “Niwa Pearls,” popular jewels from Lombok.

Popular social media personalities attending the event praised the embassy for the impressive dinner, captivating cultural dances, and appetizing array of dishes served during Indonesia Night.
