The Indian Embassy in Kuwait celebrates India’s 75th Republic Day with grandeur and pride. Thousands of Indian nationals gathered at the embassy premises on Friday morning, brimming with patriotic fervor to mark the historic occasion.
The event began with a solemn tribute as Ambassador H.E. Dr. Adarsh Swaika adorned the Mahatma Gandhi statue with garlands.
The ambassador then hoisted the national flag at 9:00 am, accompanied by the resonant strains of the national anthem and the reading of the Indian President’s address.
During his address, the ambassador emphasised the robust bilateral ties between India and Kuwait, reaffirming the embassy’s commitment to extending support to its nationals. He also underscored the pivotal role played by Indian associations in Kuwait.
Despite cloudy skies and a gentle drizzle, the spirit of the Indian community remained undaunted as they enthusiastically participated in the Republic Day celebrations.
