IMF delegation presents key recommendations to Kuwait on economic stability
Kuwaiti Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, met on Monday with Francesco Baroudi, head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation, to discuss issues of mutual interest.
In a press statement following the meeting, Minister Al-Huwailah emphasized the importance of implementing economic reforms gradually and thoughtfully to maintain societal balance. She noted that the ministry adopts a comprehensive approach aimed at enhancing social justice and achieving sustainable development.
Minister Al-Huwailah explained that the ministry is working under a comprehensive reform strategy focused on improving the social and economic systems to ensure long-term justice and stability. This strategy aligns with Kuwait’s development vision.
The meeting addressed several critical topics, including social aid and the economic reforms necessary for sustainable social stability in Kuwait. The IMF delegation presented three key recommendations during the discussions. These included diversifying economic resources and improving the business environment to preserve the country’s wealth for future generations.
The delegation stressed that these recommendations are essential steps to maintain economic stability in the face of future challenges. Both parties acknowledged that there are no quick or easy solutions to the economic difficulties facing Kuwait but highlighted the country’s significant potential to achieve the desired transformation if reforms are implemented in a balanced manner.
