IMA launches awareness campaign ‘Save Power, Save Energy, Support Kuwait’
Indian Muslim Association (IMA) Kuwait, in collaboration with Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity & Water and the National Energy Efficiency Initiative ‘Wafer’, is proud to announce the launch of a comprehensive public awareness campaign titled “Save Power, Save Energy, Support Kuwait”.
This month-long campaign, running from July 1 to July 30, is part of a coordinated national effort to encourage responsible energy consumption, particularly during the peak summer period.
Primarily focusing at the expatriate community in Kuwait, the campaign emphasizes practical steps individuals can take to reduce electricity usage and contribute to nation’s sustainability goals.
Key components of the campaign include:
- Targeted social media outreach through informative posts, flyers & videos
- Community awareness gatherings to foster dialogue and education
- Friday sermons incorporating messages on environmental responsibility
- Distribution of awareness stickers across residential and public spaces
Speaking on the initiative, IMA Kuwait emphasized its commitment to community service and environmental responsibility following Quranic Teaching & Principles.
The campaign highlights that small acts, such as turning off unused lights, can significantly contribute to national sustainability goals and reduce energy waste.
The Ministry of Electricity & Water has welcomed this collaboration, recognizing the critical role social awareness plays in shaping behavior and fostering energy efficiency across all segments of society.
