ILOA hosts high-energy curtain raiser for Yoga Day 2025
The event, organized by the Embassy of India in Kuwait under the global initiative of India’s Ministry of AYUSH, highlighted yoga’s growing relevance for youth and its benefits for physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

As a vibrant lead-up to International Day of Yoga 2025, Indian Learners’ Own Academy (ILOA) hosted a Curtain Raiser event organized by the Embassy of India in Kuwait, under the global initiative of India’s Ministry of AYUSH.
The event was attended by Shri Baija Nath Prasad, Second Secretary (Education & Culture), who highlighted yoga’s growing relevance for youth and its benefits for physical, mental, and emotional well-being. He urged students to embrace yoga as a healthy lifestyle choice.
The highlight of the event was a live yoga session conducted by renowned trainer Mr. Jeevan Jayadevan. Students participated enthusiastically as they were introduced to various Yogasanas, including Makarasanaand Matsyasana, aimed at improving posture, flexibility, and focus. Special emphasis was placed on Pranayama, with Mr. Jayadevan demonstrating breathing techniques and explaining their benefits for mental clarity and respiratory health.
The session brought to life the essence of yoga as a holistic practice that connects body, mind, and soul—offering a much-needed pause from the fast-paced routines of modern life. The significance of June 21st as International Day of Yoga, officially recognized by the United Nations, was also highlighted.
The school expressed its sincere gratitude to the Indian Embassy for selecting ILOA as the host venue. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks to the school management, staff, and students for their enthusiastic involvement.
