Illegal home-based central kitchen shut down in security raid, seven arrested

As part of ongoing security campaigns to curb illegal commercial activities, the Ministry of Interior has shut down an unlicensed central kitchen operating inside a residential property.
The operation was carried out by personnel from the of CID’s Financial Crimes Department, after authorities discovered that the site was being used to prepare and process food illegally and promote it through social media.
Investigations confirmed that the facility was functioning without a license and outside the supervision of the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition and Kuwait Municipality regulations.
A coordinated raid was conducted with the food authority, during which multiple violations were recorded, including the employment of workers without health certificates, poor hygiene standards, and operating a food establishment without official approval.
Seven workers were arrested at the site, and all seized materials, along with those detained, were referred to the Public Prosecution for legal action.
