ICAIKC and RSM Kuwait host CPE event on ‘Knowledge Exchange’
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Kuwait Chapter (ICAIKC) in collaboration with RSM Kuwait successfully hosted a Continuing Professional Education (CPE) event titled “Knowledge Exchange”, bringing together finance leaders, industry professionals, and business experts to deliberate on key developments shaping today’s business and financial landscape.
The event commenced with Arrival, Registration and Networking, followed by a Welcome Address delivered by CA Sriram Gopalakrishnan, Partner & Head of IFRS, RSM Kuwait, who set the context for the day’s deliberations.
CA Rohit Agarwal, Chairperson, ICAIKC, in his Introductory Address, highlighted ICAIKC’s continuous efforts to promote professional excellence and learning among members. He also encouraged members to register for the upcoming 5th Annual International Conference, scheduled for 8th November 2025, themed “Evolving Equations: Trust, Technology, Transformation.”
Mr. Suvrat Mehta, Partner – corporate finance,RSM Kuwait, provided an insightful overview of Gulf’s Economic Landscape, followed by in-depth analysis of Kuwait’s economy, outlining emerging trends and growth opportunities in the region.
This was followed by an engaging session on Technology – Innovative Trends, presented by Mr. Nayef Al Yaseen, Office Managing Parter, RSM Kuwait and Mr. Ahmed Abdelatif, Partner, RSM Kuwait, who discussed the transformative role of technology in driving business innovation and digital advancement.
CA Tuhin Chaturvedi, Partner – Taxation, RSM Kuwait, then delivered a detailed presentation on Navigating the Pillar 2 Landscape, offering participants clarity on global tax reforms and compliance implications. After a brief networking break, Mr. Kareem Abu Eid, ESG/ Sustainability Consulting Partner, RSM Kuwait, addressed What’s Next in Sustainable Value, emphasizing the growing strategic importance of sustainability and ESG practices in building long-term business resilience.
The technical session on IFRS 18 & 19 Demystified, co-presented by Mr. Firas Georges, Partner, RSM Kuwait and CA Sriram Gopalakrishnan, provided participants with valuable insights into the upcoming accounting standards and their practical implications for organizations.
This was followed by Mr. Ahmed Al Ameer, CX Specialist, RSM Kuwait, who led an insightful session on CX – A Competitive Advantage, highlighting how superior customer experience can serve as a key differentiator in today’s competitive market.
The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Nayef Al Yaseen, expressing gratitude to all speakers, participants, and RSM Kuwait for their collaboration and contribution to the success of the event.
