The Meteorological Department has forecast hot weather conditions across Kuwait during the weekend, accompanied by chances of dust in exposed areas due to northwesterly winds and the influence of a high-pressure system carrying a relatively hot air mass.
Acting Director of the Meteorological Department, Dharar Al-Ali, said Thursday’s weather would be hot during the day, with light to moderate northwesterly to variable winds reaching speeds of 10 to 42 kilometres per hour, causing dust in open areas along with scattered clouds.
Maximum temperatures on Thursday are expected to range between 39°C and 41°C, while nighttime conditions will remain warm to mild with temperatures between 25°C and 27°C.
For Friday, the department forecast hot and partly cloudy conditions with light to moderate northwesterly to variable winds ranging from 8 to 30 kilometres per hour. Temperatures are expected to remain between 39°C and 41°C during the day.
Friday night is expected to be warm to mild with southeasterly winds and scattered clouds, while minimum temperatures will range from 25°C to 27°C.
On Saturday, weather conditions are expected to remain hot and partly cloudy, with southwesterly to northwesterly winds occasionally becoming active at speeds reaching up to 45 kilometres per hour, increasing the chances of dust in exposed areas.
Nighttime weather on Saturday is forecast to be warm to mild with partly cloudy skies and moderate northwesterly to northerly winds, while sea waves may occasionally rise to six feet.
