Higher Education Minister stresses unified admissions to optimize seat allocation

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Nader Al-Jalal has emphasized on the need to regulate application deadlines for high school graduates to prevent duplicate admissions across universities and scholarship programs, ensuring optimal seat allocation in academic institutions.

Speaking on the sidelines of the annual coordination meeting for the 2025-2026 academic year, Al-Jalal highlighted efforts to unify admissions planning across Kuwait University, Abdullah Al-Salem University, the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), internal scholarships supervised by the Private Universities Council, and foreign scholarships, according to Al-Rai daily.

He stressed that admissions would be based on each institution’s capacity and approved academic standards, with the goal of aligning education outcomes with national development goals and labor market demands. The ministry is committed to refining admission mechanisms to produce competitive, skilled graduates.
