Finance Ministry orders evacuation of West Doha Chalets for Jahra Waterfront Project

The Ministry of Finance has begun notifying tenants of the West Doha chalets through the “Sahel” application, instructing them to vacate and return the properties, latest by March 31, 2025.

This decision follows a letter from Kuwait Municipality received by the Ministry of Finance last January, which included Municipal Council Resolution No. (MB/F6/164/06/2024 D 3).

The resolution approved the allocation of land extending from the borders of the Western Doha Station to the borders of Jahra Nature Reserve for the development of the Jahra Waterfront Project (Corniche).

The Ministry of Finance announced that it will proceed with the evacuation of 116 chalets and transfer them to Kuwait Municipality once all necessary procedures for terminating the existing rental contracts are completed.
