Finance Minister forms committee to sort rest houses, plots, and chalets

The Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Acting Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, and Minister of Finance, Subaih Al-Mukhaizeem, has issued a ministerial decision to form a committee tasked with sorting rest houses, plots of land, and chalets.

The decision was published in the official Kuwait gazette, Kuwait Alyawm.

Article 1 of the decision outlined the composition of the committee, which will be headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and include:

  • Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services Affairs – Vice President
  • Director of State Property Contracts Department – Member
  • Representative of Kuwait Municipality – Member
  • Representative of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy – Member
  • Abdul Rahman Ibhar – Member and Rapporteur

Article 2 defines the committee’s responsibilities:

  • Determining the technical sorting requirements.
  • Examining requests submitted by the majority of heirs to separate rest houses, plots, or chalets allocated to their deceased relatives.
  • Approving sorting plans.
  • Issuing final decisions to classify the rest houses, plots, or chalets after confirming compliance with all requirements.

Article 3 specifies that the committee’s decisions will be made by majority vote, with the president’s vote prevailing in case of a tie. Article 4 allows the committee to seek assistance from experts or consultants as deemed necessary, in accordance with the regulations governing committee formation.

This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to organize state property and ensure transparent and efficient management of inherited rest houses, plots, and chalets.
