Farwaniya Municipal Council committee set to meet next Sunday

The Farwaniya Governorate Committee in the Municipal Council is set to convene its meeting next Sunday under the leadership of Khaled Al-Mutairi. The primary agenda includes discussions on the development and reorganization of real estate situated in the exhibition area, south of Khaitan, aimed at establishing the Business Lagoon project.

During the meeting, the committee will assess a request from the Public Authority for Roads and Land Transport regarding the allocation of sites for open basins to collect rainwater, open water channels, underground water connections, and rainwater drainage paths around the South Abdullah Al-Mubarak housing area, reports Al-Jarida daily.

Additionally, member Abdullah Al-Anzi’s proposal concerning buildings and lands in the Granada area adjacent to the residential zone will be reviewed. Furthermore, the committee will consider the Ministry of Social Affairs’ request to expand the central market of the Ishbiliya Cooperative Society, situated in the heart of the Ishbiliya suburb.

The committee will also address the query submitted by Vice-President of the Municipal Council, Khaled Al-Mutairi, regarding the Kabd Road extending from the Sulaibiya Bridge to the Kabd farms.

Meanwhile, the municipal environmental affairs committee, chaired by Eng Alia Al-Farsi, is scheduled to convene today. The agenda for the meeting includes discussions on two proposals put forward by member Eng Sherifa Al-Shalfan — one concerning the preservation of the marine environment’s cleanliness, and another focusing on the recycling of plastic bottles and their caps.

Additionally, the committee will review a letter from the Ministry of Health — Public Health Department regarding health control measures over waste landfills. Furthermore, a citizen’s proposal regarding assistance to citizens, burden reduction, and recycling will also be considered during the meeting.
