Family rest houses in agricultural areas to be one-storey only

The meeting of the Technical Committee of the Municipal Council featured discussions on the proposed amendments to building regulations in agricultural and livestock areas.

The Head of the Technical Committee, Engineer Munira Al-Amir, emphasized that the new amendments represent an important step towards addressing the challenges facing these vital sectors.

Al-Amir explained that the amendments include a clear redefinition of the areas covered by the regulation, aimed at avoiding any confusion between agricultural areas and those designated for other uses.

Moreover, Al-Amir added that one of the key amendments is the introduction of changes to the design of family rest houses, limiting them to one floor instead of two, including increase in the permissible area and building height to ensure optimal benefit.
