Expatriate robbed at knifepoint, 4,000 dinars stolen

The Ministry of Interior has initiated an investigation following a report filed by an expatriate at the Al-Ahmadi police station alleging robbery at knifepoint. The victim claims the suspects escaped with 4,000 dinars from him when he was in front of a gas station in Al-Ahmadi.

According to the expatriate’s account, he had withdrawn the money from a bank to pay workers’ salaries. Shortly after leaving the bank, he was accosted by an individual driving a white four-wheel drive vehicle, who brandished a knife and demanded the money.

It is suspected that the perpetrator may have been tipped off about the victim’s possession of a significant sum while inside the bank.

Authorities have launched an investigation to verify the victim’s claims and gather further details about the vehicle involved and the assailant. The incident has been registered as a case of armed robbery.
