“Education Ministry” postpones middle school exam unification for further review

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Mansour Al-Daihani, approved decisions to appoint Vice Presidents of the General Examinations Control for its scientific, literary and religious education sections.

Mansour Al-Dhafiri, was appointed as the First Deputy for the Scientific Section, and Director of Hawalli Educational District, Dalal Al-Nahedh, as the Second Deputy.

Whereas, the Undersecretary of Educational Activities and Curricula, Maryam Al-Enezi, was also appointed as the First Deputy for the Literary and Religious Education Section, and Director of Jahra Educational District, Jassim Bu Hamad, as the Second Deputy.

As part of their preparations for the first semester exams, the educational districts issued schedules meant for the intermediate stage exams, which will begin next month from Wednesday, December 18, and end on Thursday, December 26.

The Ministry stressed the need to add a quarter of an hour to the exam time for all academic fields. This will allow students time to read the instructions and check the number of question papers. As well as add 30 minutes to the original time for students with special cases, provided that they arrive before the exam begins with sufficient time in hand and also bring special tools for each exam.

In this context, informed educational sources revealed to Al-Anba that the exams for the intermediate stage will not be unified as announced, indicating that the ministry has postponed the implementation of the Public Education Sector bulletin regarding the unification of the intermediate stage exams for further study.

Similarly, Al-Dhafiri, called on the educational districts in a letter received by Al-Anbaa, a copy of which states, “to instruct your competent authority to provide the General Examinations Supervision in the General Education Coordination, and Follow-up Department with the numbers of male and female students registered in the Tenth and Eleventh grades (Scientific, Literary) and the Twelfth grade (Scientific, Literary) for the first academic period of the current academic year 2024-2025 AD, in addition to the numbers of male and female students registered in the evening centers, with the identification of the schools in which the exam will be held for students of adult education centers and private education students (for the Twelfth grade)”.
