East Sabah Al-Ahmad’s ‘Who Sold His House’ project 89% complete

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare disclosed an increase in housing applications from eligible citizens, with outstanding applications reaching 97,144 by the end of last May.

  • The Public Authority for Housing Welfare has issued four tenders to build 6,455 homes in the affordable housing project.

The Public Authority for Housing Welfare revealed a rise in housing applications from eligible citizens, reaching 97,144 outstanding applications by the end of last May. It also announced the near completion of the “Who Sold His House” project in East Sabah Al-Ahmad, with a completion rate of 89 out of 100.

Additionally, four tenders were issued for the construction of 6,455 homes in the affordable housing project, as reported by Al Rai newspaper.

The corporation stated in the report issued last May that the service centers received 1,216 visitors, and 32,681 requests were processed through the government ‘Sahel’ program, while 23 transactions were conducted through the website.

Regarding the South Saad Al-Abdullah project, it was explained that 1,412 housing units were distributed during May, bringing the total number of distributed units to 15,771 out of 24,508 available in the project, including 23,551 residential plots and 957 housing products. The number of citizens allocated in the project reached 5,319.

Sources have pointed out that the executive projects, including establishing infrastructure and housing units for housing projects, have reached an actual completion rate of 80 percent in the Wafra expansion, which includes 53 industrial plots.

Meanwhile, in the city of South Sabah Al-Ahmad, the actual completion rate has reached 14.5 percent, and in the city of South Saad Al-Abdullah, the actual completion rate reached two percent in the main roads contract, as the project is in the preparatory period.

Regarding the East Sabah Al-Ahmad project, which includes 1,184 homes under the law for those who sold their homes, the corporation pointed out that the completion rate in the first contract to build 587 homes of the project reached 89 percent, and the second contract for building 597 homes reached 89 percent as well. The actual completion rate stands at 82 percent.

Regarding the public buildings under construction, the corporation confirmed that they include 31 buildings in South Abdullah Al-Mubarak, 42 buildings in Al-Mutlaa, three buildings in Al-Wafra Expansion, one building in South Khaitan, another building in Jaber Al-Ahmad City, two buildings in Sabah Al-Ahmad City, and 16 buildings in East Sabah Al-Ahmad.

It continued that a contract was signed for the construction and completion of public buildings in vertical housing, which includes 60 residential buildings in the investment suburb of Sabah Al-Ahmad Residential City. Additionally, contracts (Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4) were signed for the supply, installation, implementation, and maintenance of a main station in the South Sabah Al-Ahmad Residential Project.

The corporation announced the launch of a tender for the completion and maintenance of infrastructure services networks and public buildings in the suburb centers (N4) and (N2) in the city of Al-Mutlaa. Additionally, a tender was announced for the construction, completion, and maintenance of 1985 houses, public buildings, and asphalt surface layer works.
