Dusty winds, scorching heat set to sweep Kuwait this weekend
Friday will be hot with rising clouds, dusty winds up to 42 kilometer per hour, highs of 43–45°C, and moderate seas with waves of two to five feet.

The Meteorological Department forecasts hot weather over the weekend, with daytime temperatures high, evening warmth, and moderate late-night conditions, reported Arabic daily Al Anba.
Acting Director Dharar Al-Ali told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that Kuwait is affected by a high-pressure system receding, making way for a surface depression with a hot air mass. Light to moderate southerly winds will be active intermittently, causing dust storms, particularly in open areas, along with scattered clouds.
Al-Ali stated that scattered clouds are expected, with maximum temperatures between 40 and 42°C. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves ranging from one to three feet.
The weather will be hot to moderate, with light to moderate southwesterly winds between six and 30 kilometer per hour. Scattered clouds will persist, and minimum temperatures will range from 22 to 24°C. The sea conditions will remain light to moderate, with waves of one to three feet.
Friday’s weather will be hot, with increasing cloud cover and southwesterly to southeasterly winds between ten and 42 kilometer per hour, occasionally active, raising dust. Maximum temperatures will range from 43 to 45°C, and the sea will be light to moderate, with waves of two to five feet.
He stated that tomorrow night’s weather will be hot to moderate, partly to mostly cloudy, with southeasterly to variable winds at light to moderate speeds ranging from 10 to 35 kilometers per hour, and a chance of suspended dust. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius. The sea will be light to moderate, with waves between one and four feet.
Al-Ali added that Saturday’s weather will be hot and partly to mostly cloudy, with light to moderate northeasterly to southeasterly winds, occasionally active, at speeds of 12 to 40 kilometers per hour. Maximum temperatures are expected to range from 41 to 43 degrees Celsius. The sea will remain light to moderate, with waves between 2 and 5 feet.
He also noted that Saturday evening will be hot to moderate and partly cloudy, with southeasterly to variable winds at light to moderate speeds ranging from 8 to 32 kilometers per hour. Minimum temperatures are forecast between 21 and 23 degrees Celsius, and the sea will be light to moderate, with waves between 1 and 4 feet.
